Some Things I Love

1. This precious boy!! Daddy went to a baseball game yesterday with his work group and bought Jake a new "toy." Don't worry - he will be closely monitored while playing with this "toy." Then Daddy really wanted him to learn how to hit the (stuffed) ball...the lesson was very entertaining for Mommy! :)

2. When Jake carries on a "conversation" with himself while riding in the car. It's just so stinkin' cute!! And he is so serious about it. :)

3. My job! Yes, it was insane going back today after being out a week, but I am just so thankful for a job I truly love. I always wondered how people could actually enjoy going to work...but 3 years ago I got it when I started working at ScanSource. I am so thankful for a company who values their employees and makes going to work enjoyable. Plus I work with some pretty fun people, which doesn't hurt either.

4. Girl's Night Out! Yes I love my hubby and son, but sometimes it's fun to just get away for a night with girls. And, I am thankful for my wonderful husband who works really long hours but is always willing to take care of Jake on nights like last night so I can have some fun.

5. My parents. They are just incredible and I'm so thankful for them!!

6. Trying new recipes, as long as they meet my criteria: easy, healthy and fairly quick! I am trying a new one tonight: chicken tacos with charred tomatoes. Yum!!

Those are just some things I was thinking about today.

I missed my normal work out today because me and my workout buddy were both gone from work last week so we were still playing catch up. We will be going tomorrow instead and tonight I'll either do a run or a workout video after Jake goes to sleep.

I am so excited about tomorrow. My friend has been getting some help on her eating from a nutritionist. Tomorrow is what we are calling her "intervention" and me and another lady are joining her as she meets with the nutritionist. I always like to learn more about eating better, so I'm hoping to pick up some tips too, as well as learn what I have to do to keep her in line! :)

Happy Tuesday!
